‘Desirable locals’ are indigenous plant species that are endemic to a particular area. ‘Desirable’ in this context does not imply that these species are suitable for planting in any circumstance, edible, colourful, or easy to grow—they are merely part of the biodiversity asset in our local ecosystems.
Currently listed are
(1) the Mt Nebo/Mt Glorious area, and
(2) Babinda/Miriwinni in Far North Queensland.
These records were created in 2008 so please be mindful that names may have changed since then.
