Plant photos online

‘Desirable locals’ are indigenous plant species that are endemic to a particular area. ‘Desirable’ in this context does not imply that these species are suitable for planting in any circumstance, edible, colourful, or easy to grow—they are merely part of the biodiversity asset in our local ecosystems.

See the 'desirable locals' for different localities at www.picasaweb.google.com/desirablelocals.

Currently listed are

(1) the Mt Nebo/Mt Glorious area, and

(2) Babinda/Miriwinni.

Check out the less desirable introduced species at www.picasaweb.google.com/introducedspecies. Many of these are significant agricultural or environmental weeds.
